When you are in Gmail you'll have a little button inside the URL bar. Click that, then paste in a YouTube video or a playlist. For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFZwUg3NY_Y then your 'Tasks' box will turn into a YouTube player. 

Few important things to remember: 

1. You must have 'Tasks' open. 
2. Due to the small size its hard to adjust the YouTube player volume a work around is to hover your mouse over the volume controls and use your down arrow to lower your volume. If you try and click you'll hit the YouTube logo and leave the page.
